Constructed to ensure robust protection and efficient energy management for solar power systems, the em-1146_dcac switchgear is an advanced electrical component designed to seamlessly integrate with photovoltaic installations. Encased in an IP65-rated enclosure, this switchgear offers a high level of protection against dust ingress and water jets from any direction, ensuring durability and longevity in various environmental conditions.

Equipped with a DC Surge Protection Device (SPD) from Dehn, rated at 1000V for Type 2 applications, the unit provides safeguarding against transient over-voltage, enhancing the safety of connected equipment. It supports up to three photovoltaic strings and is compatible with three Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) inputs, optimizing the conversion efficiency of the solar array.

On the alternating current (AC) side, it features an AC SPD, also from Dehn, designed as a Type 2 device. The switchgear can handle currents up to 63A across a three-phase system. Additionally, it incorporates a Residual Current Device (RCD) type A with a rating of 63A/300mA, which monitors for any imbalance between live conductors and instantly breaks the circuit upon detection of residual current, thereby mitigating the risk of electric shock or fire.
