This compatible SFP transceiver provides a 1000BASE-T connection at 1 Gb/s through a standard RJ-45 port. Designed for twisted-pair cabling, it supports Category 5 or higher copper cable, with a maximum reach of 100 meters.
SFP FORMAT FOR NETWORK EQUIPMENT
The module fits an SFP port on a compatible switch, router, or network interface card. Its copper-based RJ-45 design is not a fiber-optic transceiver: it has no LC connector and does not connect to single-mode or multimode fiber.
HOT-SWAPPABLE COMPATIBLE REPLACEMENT
OEM by Sansec, part number J8177D-C, this module is a compatible alternative to the HPE Aruba J8177D, not an original HPE Aruba product. It supports hot swapping in accordance with the SFP MSA, allowing replacement without powering down the equipment.
