WD MY BOOK 8 TB – A SECURE HOME FOR YOUR DATA
The Western Digital My Book WDBBGB0080HBK-EESN is a 3.5" external hard drive with 8 TB of storage, combining plenty of space for your data with features designed to protect it. It’s ideal for a home desk or small office, providing a place to store photo and video archives, documents, and computer backups.
EFFORTLESS BACKUPS
The included WD Backup software lets you schedule automatic backups of important files. On Mac computers, the drive works with Time Machine. That means you don’t have to remember to move your data manually, while your photos, videos, and documents stay protected in case your computer fails.
PASSWORD PROTECTION AND ENCRYPTION
My Book features built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption. Use WD Security software to enable password protection and set your own password, keeping the data stored on the drive private. This is especially useful for storing business documents and personal files.
FAST TRANSFERS WITH USB 3.0
The USB 3.0 interface delivers data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gb/s, helping reduce the time it takes to copy large folders and full backups. The drive is also compatible with USB 2.0 ports, so it works with older computers too. Power is supplied by the included AC adapter.
WESTERN DIGITAL QUALITY
The My Book series features Western Digital external drives designed for desktop use and long-term data storage. The compact enclosure includes a Kensington lock slot, allowing you to secure the drive to your desk with a cable. It’s a great choice for anyone who values file security as much as ample storage capacity.
